Humboldt Hydroponic Nutrient Line Explained - The Grow Show

I'm Darren here at the Grow Show talking about our conventional Humboldt 3 part program, consisting of your Grow, Micro and Bloom. From the basics you move from your basics to your additives. You will need Sea Cal which is Humbot Nutrient's calcium additive. It helps with the vegetative growth and makes sure your cell wall structures are solid and promotes good overall growth. Next is Sea Mag which is more for your bloom stage. After that you can add Ginormous. Ginormous is a bloom enhancer that contains high amounts of phosphorus. Next we have a potassium supplement. This may differ if you are in soil or hydroponics. In a hydroponic application you have a product called HydroDeuce. In a soil application we have a product called Deuce Deuce. For a basic rule of thumb, even in a soil application, you may want to use HydroDeuce. The HydroDeuce is going to be more lucid and flow past through your plants better. Prozyme is a beneficial enzyme concentrate. Prozyme is going to break down unwanted salt and mineral deposits in your plants. Its basically cleaning your plant while helping your plant feed better. There are a few soluble parts in your basic system. The first is Big Up powder. Its used in your first week of bloom and last two weeks of bloom. This also helps induce flower sites, ease the tradition between veg and bloom, and in the last 2 weeks its used to bring your plants to their fullest potential. The next product you're going to use is White Widow. White Widow ...

Hydroponics - The Good & Bad

!±8± Hydroponics - The Good & Bad

It's something that fascinates many gardeners, how to grow a plant without any soil. Hydroponics systems have actually been around a long time (there was a book written about it in 1627). The way it works is to grow plants using mineral nutrient solutions in water, without soil. Soil isn't actually essential for plant growth, but the mineral nutrients in them are. Usually the nutrients will dissolve in the water introduced into the soil thus allowing the plant to absorb them. It is therefore possible to introduce the mineral nutrients into the plants water supply artificially. The best thing about this is that almost any plant will grow with hydroponics.

Now there are obviously advantages and disadvantages with hydroponics, I shall try to outline both to give you a clearer understanding of how hydroponics can both benefit you and what you need to be wary of.

There are quite a few benefits of growing plants in a soilless environment, the main advantages are that less space and less growing time is required. Using a grow tent sees to this straight away as you can buy them is a number of sizes to suit your needs and space requirements. This also allows you more control over the plants environment such as the humidity and root zone's temperature.

Other advantages are:

o You cut back on water rate costs as water stays in the system and is reused
o Cuts labour and garden maintenance.
o Higher yields
o Lower nutrition costs as it is possible to control the nutrition levels completely, because of this level of control there is no nutrition pollution
o Pests and diseases are easier to avoid because the containers are more mobile than soil
o Plants are free from weeds, so will get all of the nutrients they need to grow healthy

Now obviously hydroponics offer a lot of advantages to people willing to grow their plants in a soilless environment, but there are also a few disadvantages. Hydroponics do have a high set up cost due to the necessary equipment being quite expensive, and it does require skill and knowledge to be able to maintain optimum growing conditions for the plants.

As well as high setup costs and the need to be skilled hydroponic gardens also need to be maintained. Unlike regular gardens they need to be tended to on a regular basis (usually daily). Disease is also a major factor in hydroponic gardens because the plants share the same solution, this means that water-borne diseases can spread through hydroponic gardens at a much faster rate than soil based gardens.

I would advise that if you know what you are doing, can cover the set up costs and are truly dedicated to reaping the benefits of having a hydroponic garden then go for it. It is imperative however that you have weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of hydroponics before you take the plunge.

The Coliseum Is One Of The Best Complete Hydroponic Systems On The Market

!±8± The Coliseum Is One Of The Best Complete Hydroponic Systems On The Market

The trend in vertical growing systems continues with one of the highest yielding complete hydroponic systems to date. The Coliseum is an indoor garden that delivers the highest yield in the shortest time by maximizing the available light source. The Coliseum can be used two different ways either aeroponically or media filled. The media filled configuration utilizes a mixture of vermiculite and perlite to hold plants upright. The aeroponic method utilizes neoprene discs to support the plants and to prevent the aerated water from spraying out of the plant site. The Coliseum comes in many different sizes depending upon your available grow space.

The concept for how the Coliseum produces such a high yield is actually a very simple one. Sunlight is what makes plants grow and when we grow indoors we use different types of artificial lighting to encourage vegetation and flowering in plants. When we grow traditionally or a flat garden style we end up with a high concentration of lumens in the center of the garden and less at the edges. So unless you plan to rotate your plants continuously they will not all grow at the same rate which will in turn decrease your yield.

With the Coliseum the plants are vertically stacked one on top of the other to fill the 7 foot chamber. The lights are then vertically suspended one after the other to evenly distribute the lumens to every plant. This means that every plant will produce the maximum yield that it possibly can. The plants will grow towards the light which will prevent any of the plants in the top sections of the Coliseum from shading the bottom plants. The plants are supplied with nutrients and water through an irrigation system and pump.

The compact nature of the Coliseum is amazing considering what it contains. This complete hydroponic system can house up to 300 plants, 5 inches wide and 12 inches tall. It has a 6 foot diameter and is approximately 7 feet tall. It barely takes up any room at all! This makes it so important in today's world. We are running out of available farmland and have to look at other options. Indoor gardening vertically is the best solution. The Coliseum practically and efficiently uses the available space that we do have, which is up!

But not only will this complete hydroponic system save space, it will also save money. The Coliseum utilizes only 1600 watts of power and the water is recycled throughout so it will not be a drain on resources which is in turn very good for our environment. Of course, one of the most important advantages to using the Coliseum is that you can double and even triple your yield compared to other growing chambers and techniques. But, not only will you maximize your space and increase your yield you will also enjoy a shorter growing period. The plants will grow faster in much less time as a result of even lighting. Another nice benefit to the Coliseum is that it can be added on to as your farm grows. So save time, space, money, and the environment with the best in complete hydroponic systems, the Coliseum. Grow practically, grow efficiently, grow vertically with the Coliseum!

Best nutritional solutions for the summer growing

!±8± Best nutritional solutions for the summer growing

Summer means heat. If you live in a warm place, excessive heat can affect your plants, especially those grown indoors. Some plants grow in full sun, while others require shade is. Due to the summer heat, plants often do not receive the water they need. This leads to stress, causing deficiencies. Therefore, the most important summer peak is advisable to use water and to ensure that your plants receive adequate nutrition.

The quality of the nutrient solutions useddirectly influences the growth and health of your plants. Improper plant nutrients can lead to poor performance, or even worse disease. Therefore, it is important tried and tested nutrient solutions that use the nutrients they need to deliver.

Here is a look at the key factors that grows in nutrient solutions of choice for the summer involved are:

Indoor Gardening in the summer

Hydroponics enthusiasts avoid the summer heat by growing plants inside. However, you must ensure that internalPlants absorb enough light through a nutrient solution, such as Liquid Light, the light absorption improved.

Development stages

Plants have different nutritional needs in the vegetative stage and flowering. Depending on the stage of growth and plant species, it is important to vary the nutrient solutions. Many hobbyists use hydroponics to grow ESU Bloom and Green Leaves Juice Juice for vegetative growth before flowering and fruiting body. PHAT Hydro also offers productsfor vegetative and flowering stages, which are used very popular with amateur and professional growers, hydro culture.

Growing media

Nutrition depends on the culture medium used, because each medium is different increasing amounts of trace nutrients and micronutrients. Inexperienced breeders and professional breeders can simply ready for use-land cultivation of cane growing scientifically tested on certain media, such as coconut, ground andRock wool.

pH

Addition of nutrients in the tank is required, its pH, which influences the absorption of nutrients and the influence increases the likelihood of plant diseases. Techno Flora offers a range of products such as BC Boost, BC Bloom and BC Grow for different stages of plant growth. The balanced formula helps maintain the nutrient reservoir pH levels, eliminating the need for frequent adjustment of pH.

Chelation

A good soup shouldChelates qualities that help the transfer of nutrients from fertilizers, plants. Advanced Nutrients Nutrient solutions are known for their high ratio of chelated micronutrients, which provides bio-availability known for a long time.

Hydro-organic nutrients and growth supplements

Most of the solutions used in hydroponic nutrients are "hydro-organic" that organic materials that are readily soluble in water, ie. One of the best known brands of highly soluble nutrientsGeneral Hydroponics has solutions. General Hydroponics provides a series of additions to the growing development of both flowers and fruit plants to improve. Another familiar name, offers FoxFarm Hydroponic nutrients that work, providing an extra boost of nitrogen and trace elements.

Hydroponics Nutrient and Food Tips

!±8± Hydroponics Nutrient and Food Tips

Essential nutrients such as potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus are essential to the biochemical processes for a plant if it were his food. For maximum health, you may consider other nutrients such as magnesium or iron.

Nitrogen is an important part of leaf growth. The air is about 79% nitrogen, but the plants still need a supplement to grow. The molecule of N2 in air is very stable and can not find the plants break the link with the singleAtom. Phosphorus affects growth of roots. Potassium, however, helps fight diseases, it is an important part of the formation of enzymes.

There are other elements that are important to the life and health of your hydroponic system. Calcium is needed to provide the structure of cell walls and the ions also contribute to different parts of the plant. Chlorine is a part of chlorophyll and is a very large part of photosynthesis. Iron, is now a big factor in hemoglobinMolecule and by plants and animals to carry oxygen to aid breathing cell size.

Here you can find ready-made solutions to give your plants the nutrients they need. Just like with everything that is important for the correct dosage. Here you will find that young plants need a certain amount, while flowering plants, an amount that is needed to be.

Maintain a steady temperature of water is critical because it affects how the plant receives nutrients. Here you will find a series ofSolutions, but should be done at room temperature. The hydroponic plants should also be in the water, the ambient temperature is for the best results.

Dried plants need nutrients and the combustion of nitrogen is possible. You can find the aeroponics, which is when a branch has grown up in the air and suffer from the problem of combustion of nitrogen.

If you get water from the tap, leave the water overnight to evaporate the chlorine. The mineral water is better than distilled waterContains calcium and other beneficial nutrients.

Make sure the soil is pH neutral, if you want to see positive results in your work. You can plant your neutral to keep the water alkaline. You can add a little 'of sulfuric acid, to ensure that the water is very neutral for your plants. If you have very acidic water, may be more neutral pH with sodium hydroxide.

Of course you can also test kits that allow you to accurately measure the pH value iswater for hydroponic water. Your plants are more sensitive to the hydroponic nutrient levels and can not adjust as ground-based systems, so you need to keep an eye on your plants.
